The CC8S was the first production car ever made by Koenigsegg. Its understated, clean & well-organized and elegant styling set it apart from the peers of the time. The CC8S set the stage for subsequent Koenigsegg prototypes that would eventually end up breaking the 240 mph fastest lap record set by McLaren’s F1. The CC8S was produced between 2002 and 2003 in 6 variants in total, and with a starting price tag of just above $350,000 dollars, making it one of the rarest Koenigsegg models ever produced. As a matter of fact, 2 out of the 6 cars were right hand drives. The CC8S initiated the removable, tow-able carbon roof and the angular actuation doors that Koenigsegg has become popular for. The car has won accolades the world over, including from the "Guinness Book of World Records" for boasting of the most potent production. The CC8S also got a 5 star rating from the celebrated car magazine EVO. All CC8S cars can at any time be fully factory upgraded and serviced.
Koenigsegg CC8s is available intermittently through successive decades under its private Brand name.
Interior
The Koenigsegg has the dubious distinction of being one of the exclusive few cars that have undergone the maximum customizations. If a buyer is willing to splurge is pocket out, they can expect to find the car being accessorized with the costliest items imaginable. One such attempt with opulent customization was made with a CC8S in China, which was decked with a solid gold-plated interior. Although, the whole of the car’s interior was enclosed in gold, but the central console, the car dashboard, steering wheels, the air vent surrounds and various knobs and buttons were manufactured from the prized metal.
The CC8S is modeled on a twin-door, two-seater, and Targa removable hardtop roof with an added advantage that it can be towed beneath the bonnet. The chassis is a Kevlar armor-plated carbon fiber semi-monocoque closeted to a steel sub-frame up front and an aluminum one at the rear for positioning engine, gearbox and suspensions. The entire body-shell is also built from carbon fiber and makes use of underbody tunnels and diffusers, which along with back-end straddling spoiler increases the car's down-force substantially. In spite of the above configuration, its lesser anterior area of just 1.825 meter square, which enables the CC8S to have a low drag-coefficient of just 0.30.
